Silicone does not absorb mud or water, so holding it under a tap is the whole cleaning routine. Fabric leads stay damp and start to smell.
Flexible silicone stays gentle on your palm while holding its shape when a dog pulls, rather than digging in the way thin cord does.
Rain, slush and lake water do not soak into it, which covers the wettest months of the year and all of the walks people dread.
Hales started with one simple idea: gear that feels as good on day 300 as it did on day one. Every harness, collar and leash is tested for comfort and strength, then shipped free across Canada with 30-day easy returns.
We believe great gear isn't just about getting out the door. It's the details you feel in your hand every day, from the braid to the clasp.
