Key Features

Metal where cheap collars use plastic

The buckle and the D ring are metal, not moulded plastic. Those two parts carry the entire load the moment a dog hits the end of the leash, and they are the first thing to give on a twenty dollar collar.

Off in one squeeze

A pinch of the quick release lever opens the clasp, so a wet or wriggling dog is out of the collar in a second instead of a fumble with a pin and holes. It locks shut again with the same single click.

Stitched where it takes the load

Stitching is the quietest failure on a collar. The thread holding the webbing to the hardware is what pulls out first, long before the webbing itself wears, so it is reinforced at every stress point.
